Development of our second green

For many decades, our Club has played on a crown green in the corner of the ‘men’s playing field’ on the iconic Cadbury factory site. However, in 2020 we had the opportunity to develop a second green. This was previously used for flat green bowling and we have spent a lot of time (and money) renovating this over the summer and autumn. It lies nearby in the corner of the ‘ladies’ playing field’ on the other side of Bournville Lane.  Consequently, in 2021 (pandemic permitting), we will be spreading our social bowling, league and cup games and internal competitions across two greens.  The extra capacity is a response to the increase in our membership (please get in touch if you want to join us) and we will be entering ‘C teams’ in two of the leagues that have fixtures at the times most popular with our members.
